(: So for my friend's birthday, I went out today and bought this neato little sketchbook, 100% recycled, etc. I thought it'd be a cool idea to try out what I've seen before-  customizing sketchbooks! FITNESS - You aint! [07 Jul 2008|12:42pm] silverblue [ mood | sleepy ] Went and visited my Nice But Disconcertingly Fit(*) trainer for my fitness report. Bwahaha! I am equivalent to a 59 year old in fitness! Wooo, that's 26 years older than I really am! Using their rough calculation method, basically: Body, 80 year old (weight-wise, percentage that is body fat, etc). Cardio, 78 year old (I knew cardio was bad, my recovery pulse is 127) Strength, 38 year old (from number of situps/pushups) Flexibility, 25 year old (I am fairly stretchy). Essentially, my body is basically unfit, which I knew anyway. It isn't as if I've been doing much with it. I can do whatever I like, really, dance for hours or run around, but I get utterly buggered because the only thing driving me is willpower. In any case, I'm continuing on with Yoga on Thursdays, and Spin Cycling on Tuesdays, to see if any of this changes, as well as a 'functional fitness' class on Fridays. I've been toying with the idea of doing the Tai-Chi/Kickboxing group thing on Saturdays as well, but that might be overkill. (*) Said trainer is Asian, with the typical small/slender Asian build. Only he does Greek weight training which has resulted in something that looks a bit like the average Asian martial artist shortened but with the resulting muscles kept. Cleaning [06 Jul 2008|10:15pm] ralesk [ mood | accomplished ] Today I finally got around to tidying up and cleaning my room — not that there was much disorder in it to begin with, but dust and unused junk needed to go. So, last night (interesting time for that, yes), I cleaned my drawers, the action resulting in quite a lot of things thrown out. And today, after getting up, it was time for some more serious business: taking books and stuff from the shelves, cleaning said shelves, putting said stuff back up, hoovering, taking my computer apart and dragging all that stuff over to another room… and taking some Vanish® to the carpet and attack it with a big brush.
